What do you think will happen with the $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit?

A) It will expire as scheduled on November 30
B) It will be extended well into 2010
C) It will be expanded to include more than just first-time buyers
D) It will be increased to $15,000 at the behest of the NAR

I'm betting on a combination of B, C, and D.

Topic #1   Okay, so I am finally having difficulty with the lack of snow.  It is simply not right!  I hear last night on the news that even if we come in with one of the lowest snow totals of all-time, we still will have at least three to five feet of snow before this "winter" is over.  That's a lot of snow, especially if you cram it into the next two months - because March 15th is about it for major snow.  For those of us who were here - there was the mid-March snowstorm of 1993 that dumped several feet on the area - then melted away within two weeks.  As I write, it is sort of raining snow.....Sigh. Organizing (aka De-Cluttering)

It finally happened.  I did it!  Well, not me precisely, but it is done. As I had written before, a company by the name of "Allow Me" provides an incredible service.  Want something done?  "Allow me!" they say. I can't remember what put me over the edge precisely, but the proximate cause was a friend's request for things to help her daughter set up a first apartment at college.  Did I have anything, she asked.  I honestly couldn't tell!  I could open drawers and cabinets, look into the closets - but was there anything really there that was of use?  Did I need it for the in-law apartment myself? So I made the call and by golly they were at the house in a matter of days.  We walked through and I realized how truly bad it was.  There was real estate mixed in with Alex's things, my mother's heirlooms, and now we have Liam's toys and books and baby equipment.  The recumbant bike I was going to use to work myself into better shape sat in ...

Open House Alert! 5731 Sandbank Road

Sunday afternoon I will be busy again.  The open house is scheduled for 1:00 to 3:00 on Sandbank in Elbridge (Jordan zip code - 13080). I love this house.  Wide open to the back yard and nature - tons of birds and deer come in because there are only fields beyond.  And yet you are maybe a mile from Route 5, Kinney's, and easy access to Syracuse and Auburn.  You can get in to the University in 25 minutes or out to Cayuga Community College in 15 minutes, going west. Back to the house:  three bedrooms, all large with good closets, and two full baths, both with great tubs.  Those are on the level above the garage.  The main room - called quite truthfully a "great room," has cathedral ceilings way high.  (Ask the owner - he just painted them!)  The kitchen and living room look out on to the back yard through huge windows, so it appears you are right there.  Like in a nature center - you see the animals but they don't see you.  All new ap...
